Post-Industrial Recycled Content of Wilsonart® Flooring
Wilsonart Flooring is comprised of ¼ inch
high-density fiberboard (HDF) sandwiched between two layers of Wilsonart® Laminate.
The wood particles that are employed in the high-density fiberboard are obtained
from several sources;
- sawdust from saw mills,
- wood chips from log processing, and
- planar shavings from wood processing, to name a few.
In all cases, the wood particles have been salvaged and are considered post-industrial recycled. The HDF is certified by the Composite Panel Association to be an Environmentally Preferred Product. The recycled wood content of the HDF is 100%.
