TEMPLE, Texas (June 1, 2009) - Wilsonart has taken laminate to a new level by combining its AEON™ Enhanced Performance technology with stunning designs that take full advantage of a shimmering, durable Gloss finish.

AEON technology deposits super-tough aluminum oxide particles in layers within the overlay sheet for superior durability and enhanced scratch/scuff/mar resistance. AEON surfaces on these Premium designs are up to three times more wear resistant than the industry standard and five times more scratch resistant than previous Gloss-finish laminates. It also enhances the clarity of designs and gives rich translucence to the Gloss finish.

Five new looks in the Girona Series reflect the elegant polished marble and travertine stone found in European luxury spas and retreats, giving these traditional looks a modern flair.

• Girona Falls: A mediterranean blue.
• Girona Envy: An earthy green.
• Girona Beach: A warm sand.
• Girona Cavern: A blend of rich browns.
• Girona Cliff: A sun-baked clay.

The Glass series features three designs that play off of the reflectivity of glass and the translucent beauty of water:

• Frosted Glass: A warm white with subtle gold accents.
• Sea Glass: A light glassy-green with sandy undertones.
• Bottle Glass: Deep blue-green with a hint of brown.

Two additional designs in the Glass series – Mercury Glass and Antique Glass – carry a matte finish and were inspired by the etched look of worn and weathered glass.

The Mosaic Series translates granite and limestone in a pixelized geometry, creating a design that is both natural and abstract. Polished Mosaic, a dark reflection of black, green and sienna also carries the Gloss finish, while Tumbled Mosaic, reflecting softer stone and tile, carries a matte finish.
