TEMPLE, Texas (August 28, 2002) - Wilsonart Solid Surface introduces Earthstone, a new upscale solid surface product line with natural earth-inspired shades. Designed to reflect the primary elements of granite surfaces, Earthstone offers eight striking new colors and patterns that feature the elegance of natural stone with the easy care and performance of solid surface material.

The Earthstone designs are large, variegated particulate, stone-like patterns that reflect a design trend toward a more classic, timeless setting. Earthstone can be used in residential and commercial applications such as work areas, countertops, back splashes, vanity tops, partitions and more. Earthstone offers a consistent color quality and covers the gamut from light tone-on-tone off-whites to rich, mid-tones in brown, caramel, clay and green, including Bedrock, Mineral, Bluestone, Sandrift, Flagstone, Terrazo, Pebble and Palmetto.

Earthstone is mineral-filled, and made of continuous cast-acrylic sheets designed for horizontal and vertical use. The product line offers many attributes including a high-quality look, easy maintenance, custom designed shapes and a waterproof, seamless appearance. Because of its strength, Earthstone requires no sealing and is resistant to heat, mold, bacteria and mildew, as well as approved for food preparation by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF). In addition, Earthstone coordinates with Wilsonart sinks and bowls to offer a smooth, seamless edge treatment.

Earthstone is available in 1/2-inch-thick sheets and strips, and in sheet sizes ranging from 30" to 60" widths to 144" in length. The product carries a 10-year limited warranty, and scratches can be buffed out of the renewable surface with a hand-held Scotch Brite™ pad, or repaired by professional fabricators. Earthstone is available through a nationwide distribution network of selected, certified Wilsonart installers.
