TEMPLE, Texas, July 19, 2005 – Wilsonart® Laminate has solved the conundrum: one can be environmentally responsible and have the beautiful look of fine-grained wood with its new collection of designs for the Architectural Woods series.   The six new laminate wood grain patterns are as beautiful as the real thing, considerably less expensive and no rain forest timber or tropical hardwoods are used to manufacture them.

Leading the way in wood grain laminate designs, Wilsonart’s new group ranges from a traditional maple, to a classic oak, to a rare anigre.   Consumers will find their subtle patterns and rich tones breathtaking.

Four of the new patterns are premium-priced and two are standard-price, including:

• Empire Mahogany (premium)   – This design is a warm red with a traditional cathedraling pattern and resonates with early 19^th-century sophistication.
• Crowne Burl (premium)   – One of Italy’s favorite hardwoods, Crowne Burl is rich with ornamental circlets and variegated curls.
• Shaker Cherry (premium) – Shaker Cherry is a reddish brown, the color of cherry that has deepened with age, and the straight-lined grain imparts the strength of Colonial designs and brings an architectural feel.
• Williamsburg Cherry (premium) – True to its classical, 18^th-century heritage, this design sports a hand-rubbed, reddish-brown coloration.
• River Cherry – Natural and unstained in color, this version is a chocolate rendition of cherry with a striped, planked grain.
• New Age Oak – Fine lines and feathery cathedrals mark the bleached coloration and close-grain structure in the last of the new series.
