Get inspired by this classic East Coast kitchen.
This is the kitchen of Dawn Horan, a Studio Director and Senior Interior Designer in Boston. She is also a horticultural enthusiast and connoisseur of timeless design. That’s why she chose Wilsonart® THINSCAPE® Performance Tops to remodel her kitchen into a classic, high-performance space that accommodates all of her hobbies and completes the aesthetic of her home.

What was her
vision?
Dawn wanted a Cape Cod-style home where the kitchen takes center stage. After 30 years of dreaming and collecting inspiration, her vision was delivered with the help of sleek, modern, durable THINSCAPE® surfaces.
She chose Calcutta Blanc, a design that complements her prized copper sink. The Italian marble look offers large-scale veining, grey and taupe undertones, and a matte Luster finish.

Keep in mind: this kitchen is being transformed after 35 years. The updates had to feel unique and fresh, but still enhance the original character of the home. That includes an English-style conservatory attached to the kitchen, too.
“One key functionality of the kitchen is being able to bathe my plants and tend to them daily. This requires a large, two-compartment sink and a countertop that withstands plant clippings and soil spills with easy cleanup.”
