California Air Resources Board

CARB compliance indicates that a product meets the organization’s stringent emission standards for formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products. Manufacturers and fabricators of finished goods that use specified materials are required to use composite wood that meets the formaldehyde emission limits in the CWP Regulation.

Wilsonart® Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) panels are CARB II compliant. For additional information or documentation, please contact a Wilsonart Sales Representative, Customer Service Representative or call the Wilsonart Customer Service Hotline at 800-433-3222.

DECLARE

The Declare label from the International Living Future Institute is a “nutrition label” for products, showcasing specific product ingredients and sustainability information. The Institute also upholds the Living Product Challenge as the most stringent product sustainability standard. Products that satisfy the Challenge improve human and environmental health over their span of use.

EPA REGULATION: TSCA TITLE VI

EPA's TSCA Title VI, the Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood Products Act, establishes the world’s most stringent formaldehyde emissions standards for composite wood products. Included are provisions for laminated products, product testing requirements, labeling, and more.

Wilsonart® Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL) panels are TSCA Title VI compliant. For additional information or documentation, please contact a Wilsonart Sales Representative, Customer Service Representative or call the Wilsonart Customer Service Hotline at 800-433-3222.

EPD

An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is an independently verified and registered document that communicates transparent and comparable information about products' life-cycle environmental impact. It is a voluntary declaration of the life-cycle environmental impact.

FSC®

The Forest Stewardship Council® is an independent, non-government, not-for-profit organization established to promote responsible forest management practices. FSC® Chain-of-Custody certification traces the path of products from forests through the supply chain, verifying that FSC®-certified material is identified or kept separated from non-certified material.

HPD

The Health Product Declaration® Open Standard is a standard specification for the accurate, reliable, and consistent reporting of product contents and associated health information for products used in the built environment. The HPD Open Standard specification is harmonized with numerous rating certification standards in the building industry.

International Organization for Standardization

ISO standards specify requirements for environmental, occupational health and safety, and quality management systems. Organizations use these standards to enhance environmental performance, provide safe and healthy workplaces, enhance customer satisfaction, and more.

NSF

NSF International provides certifications for products used in contact with drinking water and food. Based on FDA regulations, these standards establish minimum public health and sanitation requirements for materials used in the construction of commercial food equipment.

UL GREENGUARD GOLD

Products that achieve GREENGUARD Certification are scientifically proven to meet some of the world’s most rigorous third-party chemical emissions standards, helping to reduce indoor air pollution and the risk of chemical exposure, while aiding in the creation of healthier indoor environments.

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) BioPreferred® Program

The BioPreferred Program aims to increase the purchase and use of biobased products. The increased development, purchase, and use of biobased products reduces our nation's reliance on petroleum, increases the use of renewable agricultural resources, and contributes to reducing adverse environmental and health impacts. The biobased contents of these products have been third-party tested at independent laboratories and have earned USDA certification and the approval to display the USDA Certified Biobased Product label.
